2012 Brochure

Dear Friends,

Welcome once again to this year’s Holiday Brochure, may I start as usual by thanking you for your support during the 2011 season. I am pleased to report that 2011 was a successful year with a healthy following from our loyal customers. This is especially satisfying during a difficult financial period for everyone. We had fewer cancellations this year than normal and have had more letters, faxes and phone calls than ever from our patrons thanking us for their successful and enjoyable Holidays. We did consider the possibility of cutting our prices and limiting what we include, but on talking to our clients we have decided to continue with our objectives. That is to supply quality Holidays at value for money prices with as much included as possible, the ‘Personal Touch’ is still foremost in our thinking and we are always looking for the Holiday that is slightly more unusual or with visits to new and different points of interest.

One of the things that Elcock Holidays is known for is our Door to Door Picking up Points, even in the more outlying areas that we serve, thus saving you the cost of car parking or a taxi. This arrangement we intend to continue but due to the fact that we have such a complicated system we cannot send out pick up timings until the last minute. We would ask you to bear with us and to respect our request that once timings have been sent out they should not be changed, please help us to help you. Please remember when you are comparing prices between us and other companies ask yourself are you really getting a bargain. Do you get Door to Door Pick-ups, do you get Porterage wherever possible, do you get Welcome Drinks, Excursions and Entrances Included, do you stay in Three and Four Star Standard Hotels. Do you have to
pay Extra for Front Seats, do you get Free Insurance for a limited time and lastly do you get a Discount the more Holidays you book?

II would like now to turn to our new 2012 Brochure, you will find a mixture of tried and trusted old favourites, alongside this are new destinations and new itineraries with visits to new and unusual venues. Have you been watching Downton Abbey and wondered what it’s like to see the real house, come with us
and find out. Have you been watching an Island Parish and wondered what it’s really like on the Isle of Barra, then come with us and find out. Have you ever wondered what the scenery is like in the far northwest coast of Scotland where not many people go, then come with us and find out. The list goes on, would
you like to be part of the Queens Jubilee celebrations and soak up the atmosphere. Would you like to visit Ireland but are put off by stories of it being expensive, then why not book on one of our Inclusive Irish Holidays, with nothing more to pay. Are you fed up with not being able to find a single room later in the year, then why not take advantage of one of our Single Room Holidays and if you don’t care where you go and you are prepared for us to look after you then why not join us on one of our ever popular Mystery Tours, where no one knows where they are going.

As you can see we have also included a small selection of continental Holidays with a return to the Dutch Bulbfields, the ever popular Austrian Tour to see the cows come down the mountain, with the addition of some new destinations to stir your interest. As a final note those of you that are wondering about our popular early break to the Scilly Isles, due to ongoing changes with the helicopter port and a date clash of the Hotel, we are not able to include Scilly in 2012. However arrangements are already in place for 2013, so look out next year. In the meantime we have included an early break to the island of Guernsey. If one of the above tours or a week away in Torquay, Eastbourne or Newquay at one of our regular Hotels takes your fancy then read on, I hope you will find something of interest in our new 2012 Holiday Brochure.
